The work must be an original subject in the field of (non-exclusive list): Molecular biology Fermentation Microbiology Genetics Proteomics Lyophilization Or perhaps: A clinical study A market study / consumer satisfaction study A socio-economic review If you wish to make sure the subject of your study is valid before beginning, submit it to Dr. Thomas A. Tompkins (see contacts) for validation.

\\ IS IT OBLIGATORY TO USE ROSELL STRAINS?

By preference, studies are to be carried out on micro-organisms, products, controls and placebos furnished by the Institut Rosell. Strains utilized for negative or positive controls or for the purpose of historic comparisons can come from other sources.

\\ WHERE CAN I OBTAIN INSTITUT ROSELL STRAINS?

You can make a direct request to the Institut after submitting your protocol to Dr. Thomas A. Tompkins. If you are interested to work with our strains, it is necessary to sign a "Material Transfer Agreement".

\\ WHAT OBLIGATIONS MUST I SUBMIT TO IN THE CASE OF A STUDY INVLOVING ANIMALS OR HUMAN BEINGS?

In the case of a study involving animals or human beings you must respect the legislation and the ethical rules applying to the country in which your university is found. In such a case, a certificate from the Ethics Committee must be attached to your file.

\\ MUST I CEDE MY COPYRIGHT?

Only the winning teams of the "Rosell Probiotic Challenge" must cede their copyright to the Institut Rosell Lallemand Inc.

\\ WHO WILL LOOK AFTER THE TRAVEL EXPENSES OF THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE WINNING TEAM?

The transportation fees, lodging and meals of a representative of each winning team will be taken care of by the Institut Rosell Lallemand so that they can present their results at the International Symposium on Probiotics in Montreal.

\\ CAN I VALIDATE MY PROJECT WITH A SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATOR FROM INSTITUT ROSELL BEFOREHAND?
